Born and raised in Portland, Oregon, I am a citizen of the Osage Nation and a descendant of the Ponca Tribe of Oklahoma. I bring a background in Social Work and academic health research to RELATE Lab, as well as six years creating the infrastructure for – and leading – an Indigenous relational Center of Excellence. Healthcare is a dynamic and interdependent system, and we do everyone a disservice (our communities, our patients, ourselves) when relationships and our own human-ness are the sprinkles and not the cake. Outside of RELATE, I grow flowers and enjoy small, meaningful moments with my spouse, kid, two dogs, and one cat. I care deeply about mutual aid, building hyper-local community, levity in dark times, and a well-crafted playlist.
